It’s estimated that 1 in 68 children has an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). For these children and their families, Early and Intensive Behavioral Intervention (EIBI) is the key to maximize your child’s lifelong learning and adjusting to the demands of living with autism. At JumpStart Autism Center of Denver, we are committed to providing the most effective autism treatments currently backed by research so that your child can reach his or her full potential.
What Autism Treatments Entail
Autism Spectrum Disorder encompasses a wide range of potential symptoms, with varying intensity between individuals. This means that no two children will have the same experience with autism, and treatment methods can and should vary between children to address these individual needs.
In all cases, the goal of autism treatment is always to provide a child with foundational skills that will make it easier to succeed throughout life. Children who have participate in our Applied Behavior Analysis curriculum programs have allowed them to achieve a range of ideal outcomes (e.g., go on to attend mainstream schools, become indistinguishable from peers in group activities, and perform similarly to neuro- typicals in aptitude and adaptive skills).
No treatment for autism can “cure” or completely eradicate symptoms of autism. However, our interventions can help a child learn to adapt and cope so that they can reach their full potential.
We utilize Applied Behavioral Analysis to teach foundational skills like language, toileting, grooming, social skills, etc. Children with autism frequently struggle to pick up these skills due to differences in their ability to learn through imitation and then to generalize those newly learned skills. By breaking these skills down into individual components and rewarding children at each step, a solid foundation for mastery can be built.
We offer different programs to meet your child’s needs, varying in scope and intensity. We can help you decide which program is right for your situation and will best meet your child’s needs. Contact us today for more information or to begin the enrollment process.
