JumpStart Autism Center specializes in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), an effective intervention and treatment method for children with autism. By employing evidence-based practices, we are able to significantly alter the trajectory of a child’s life. Our program allows children with autism to learn necessary skills and build a solid foundation for their future by maximizing their learning potential.
Applied Behavior Analysis is a systematic application of interventions based on the principles of learning theory. Any observable behavior can be increased or decreased through the use of ABA-based interventions. At JumpStart, we are able to help children learn language skills, social skills, cognitive skills, play skills, and motor skills. We also address an individual’s adaptive living skills (e.g., toileting, dressing and brushing teeth) as well as pre-academic and academic skills.
There is no single “ABA program” or one-size-fits-all solution: The key to ABA’s success is that it is molded to the specific needs of each child. Every day, data is gathered about your child’s progress and their needs; this data drives decision-making about how interventions will be applied and modified to ensure continued and consistent developmental progress.
The success of JumpStart Autism Center is rooted in our quality staff. Our team includes clinical psychologists, Board-Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analysts, speech language pathologists (SLP) and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs). By accepting a limited number of new clients at a time and ensuring a low staff-to-client ratio, we can provide the individualized and highly attentive intervention that allows your child to excel.
We are not a school; we are an autism treatment center staffed with medical professionals and employing evidence-based interventions. This means that we can provide a much more thorough and effective treatment than what a child might encounter in special education classes or other environments. It also means that our treatments are covered by most insurance companies, including Medicaid.
